Pit 147: Level 1

Completed on August 20, 2022 by Kim Masters, Jocelyn and DC Locke, Odess and David Brinkman. We moved back under the Magnolia tree. There were signs that this hot artifact area may end as we head south. Immediately, we ran into huge roots and some dumped concrete (from the 1960s) which we had seen in an adjacent pit. Level one gave us a good set of Granby artifacts but we would have to continue with level two on another day when we could bring a chain saw to handle the roots.

Pit 147: Level 1 produced: Ten pottery, four kitchen glass, 12 window glass, three nails, and one iron.
