Pit 91: Level 1

Completed on March 13, 2014 by Odess and David Brinkman. The Granby dig starts its 5th season on a warm March day. The location for pit 91 was adjacent to the north of pit 89 where we had found a rectagular feature in the north-east corner of the pit. So, the plan was to take things slowly in levels 2 and 3 to make sure we catch the continuation of the feature. Having been sick most of the year, we decided to also take it easy and do 1 level a day with levels 2 and 3 on the next week end. The results for level 1 were typical for the Granby dig and no features (as expected) were found at the bottom of level 1 which just goes to the middle of the plow zone.

Pit 91: Level 1 produced: 13 pieces of pottery, 12 pieces of glass, and 3 Native American pieces.
